Is it right for me?
Who is m.i ready for?
Anyone with a medical school interview ahead in Australia or the UK. We coach high school graduates applying with UCAT ANZ, graduates applying with GAMSAT, and UK applicants through UCAS facing an MMI, a panel or an academic interview. Not sure where you stand? Take the 2-minute quiz.
Do you cover my university’s format?
Every format with a published structure: live and recorded MMIs, panel and structured interviews, and Oxford and Cambridge academic interviews. We coach each one in its real format. See the Australian and UK university guides.
Why not just practice on my own, or with an AI tool?
AI tools can be useful for drilling questions. But people assess you at interview, so you need a person to tell you honestly how you come across: your pace, your warmth, and the moment you lost the listener. Every session is with a real coach who has been through it.
Do you teach scripts or model answers?
No. Memorised answers get marked down and fall apart under follow-up questions. We teach you how to think, structure and communicate so you can handle anything.
Is it too early, or too late?
The best time is before the invitation. Invitations can arrive with days of notice, and skills take weeks to build. Four to eight weeks of little-and-often practice is ideal. If your interview is closer than that, even next week, we run short intensive plans that focus on your format, your timing and the few changes that matter most.
How does the coaching work?
Who are the coaches?
Current medical students at Australian and UK medical schools who sat these interviews recently and got in. Every coach is trained to teach the m.i ready way, and you are told who your coach is before session one. Meet the coaches.
Is it one-on-one?
Always. No group classes. Online on Zoom, camera on from day one.
What do I get after a session?
A written lesson summary: what you did well, what to fix, your homework and your updated skill profile. After a mock, an 18-page performance report and a debrief. See a blurred sample report.
Mock or coaching: which do I need?
A mock tells you where you stand. Coaching builds the skills. Most students do a few sessions, then a mock about ten days before the real day. How our mocks work.
How many sessions do people usually book?
It depends on your interview date, your format and where you are starting from. Your coach suggests a plan on the free call and after your first session. We never push sessions you do not need.
Are your practice questions real interview questions?
No. Every question is written by m.i ready. We never use real, confidential or so-called leaked interview questions.
Do you share your method on the website?
We show that it exists and what it is built on. The method itself is taught in lessons. Everything we publish is honest and useful on its own.
What does it cost, and what is in each package?

Can I start small and upgrade?
Yes. Upgrade anytime: your full Essentials fee counts towards Interview Ready or Future Doctor+, and your full Interview Ready fee counts towards Future Doctor+. You only pay the difference.
Do mocks use up my sessions?
No. Mocks, debriefs and final reviews do not use sessions.
What if my interview date changes?
Tell us as soon as you know. We will move your sessions to fit the new date.
What if my coach is not a good fit?
Tell us and we will rematch you with another coach. We would rather fix it in week one than hear about it after the interview.
How do parents, safety and booking work?
I am under 18. Can I book?
Yes, with a parent or guardian’s agreement to our Terms, Privacy and Consent document before session one. Parents know every session time and may sit in. Read our guide for parents.
Can parents join the call?
Yes, and we encourage it for under-18s. Parents can also sit in on any session.
Are sessions recorded?
Sessions are not video recorded. With your permission, a written transcript may be used to write your lesson summary. Transcripts are deleted 90 days after your last session; summaries are kept for up to two years.
Can I cancel or move a session?
Yes, free with at least 24 hours’ notice. Your consumer law rights are never excluded.
Do you promise a place?
No. Nobody can. Universities decide. What we can tell you is this: 100% of our students who have received their result have been offered a place in medicine.
What happens on the free call?
Fifteen minutes on where you are applying, your format and your dates, and an honest read of where you stand. We suggest a plan and send the details in writing. There is no pressure to decide on the call. Book your free call.
How do I contact you?
Email hello@medicalinterviewready.com, message us on Instagram, or book a free call.
What should I know about the interview itself?
What is an MMI?
A multiple mini interview: several short stations instead of one long conversation, each with a new scenario and usually a new assessor. Most Australian and UK medical schools use some form of it. Read our plain-English guide.
How much does the interview count for?
Where universities publish it, between a third and three quarters of the final ranking. At Western Sydney it is 75%; at UQ, UWA and Charles Darwin it is half; at Monash it counts the same as the ATAR and UCAT. Check your own university.Where universities publish it, the interview is a big part of the decision, and sometimes all of it. At Nottingham and Leeds, the offer after interview depends on the interview alone, not your grades or UCAT. At Birmingham it is your interview and your UCAT SJT score only. At Sheffield your MMI score is added to your UCAT SJT score. Check your own university.
Where can I find practice questions?
We publish free, original practice questions for Australian medical schools. Try the MMI practice questions. Our free, original MMI practice questions are written for Australian medical schools. For UK schools, start with our UK medical school guides, or ask on a free call.
