"Practice format" means the university has not published the timing, so we use a sensible rehearsal format. Check your invitation email for the real numbers.

Timer questions.

Is the timing exactly what my university uses?

Where a university publishes its timing (for example Monash, UQ, UCL, Manchester and the University of Melbourne) the preset matches it, and the preset says so. Where it is not published, the preset is marked as our practice format. Always check your invitation email.

Does the timer record me?

No. Nothing is recorded and no camera or microphone access is requested. If you want to watch yourself back, record on your phone at the same time.

What is the beep?

A soft tone at the start and end of each answer window, like most online interview platforms. You can switch it off.

How should I use it?

Pick your university, switch on "show a practice question", press start and answer out loud, standing or sitting the way you will on the day. Do a full circuit at least once a week in the month before your interview.

Your next step
