hello, future doctor.

Welcome to m.i ready. We’re current medical students who have sat these interviews ourselves, so we know how much this moment means to you. Take a few minutes here: see what your interview really tests, meet the people behind m.i ready, and find the one-on-one package that fits your date. Read our story.

FIG. 1Your first step.

So, who are we?

And why does m.i ready exist? A note from our founder.

I'm a final-year medical student, passionate about saving lives, and about helping others to save lives one day too. That's why I started this.

Interviews were the barrier to my lifelong dream of studying medicine, the science I had been reading about since I was six years old. I went through interview after interview, thinking I could wing it, completely underestimating how important it is. When I finally got in, I realised what I had been doing wrong.

Those very lessons, learned the hard way over years of interviews, became the teaching that has now helped many other students. I started m.i ready so that others wouldn't have to lose the best years of their life to interview after interview.

Four smiling medical students and junior doctors in scrubs and white coats walking down a hospital corridor.

It began with family and friends, who all got in. Then their friends. Now we help students on track to be doctors across Australia and the UK, with specialist tutors from medical schools in both countries.

When I looked at the interview preparation companies out there, I saw stock-standard approaches: the same question lists and model answers for every student. They lacked the essence of what interviews are really looking for. That is why I started m.i ready: holistic preparation that makes you into a future doctor, working with you personally, not just on your answers.

So I approached it the way a doctor approaches a diagnosis. I broke down the entire interview system from start to finish: how each university designs its interview and stations, what its published selection criteria actually reward, how examiners judge warmth, ethical reasoning and communication, and where strong candidates quietly lose marks. I mapped all of it against the professional standards doctors are held to in Australia and the UK, then turned it into a structured way of teaching, one skill at a time, refined with every student I coached.

Our mission: we keep the human side of medicine alive, forever.

In the age of AI, medicine is one of the last careers built on people, for the people. We strive to keep it that way. You can know all the theory and still not be a people person, and that is exactly what interviews are looking for. That's why our mission is to personally care about your journey to becoming the best doctor of tomorrow, and that starts with this interview. We prepare you to be the doctor patients will remember: warm, honest and human.

That is why every acceptance letter matters so much to us. Each one is another future doctor who will bring that humanity into the room.

It brings me so much joy when a student gets that acceptance letter. It is as though I have gotten into medicine all over again.

What online advice leaves out

theory is just the tip.

Search online and you find the same few things: the four principles of ethics, lists of common questions and sample answers. It is all public, so every applicant has read it. So you have to ask yourself: what sets you apart, and actually gets you in?

Below the surface

The thinking and skills doctors actually use. And interviews actually test.

Most of what really helps is kept within the profession. Places in medicine are limited and the competition is fierce, so the people who know it rarely share it in public.

That is what m.i ready understands. Our interview specialists sat these interviews recently, and we teach what lies below the surface, one-on-one.

Blurred on purpose. This is what we teach.

  • Invaluable coaching with a personalised human-centred approach

…I think that really comes down to the human-centred approach my coach took. It didn’t feel like a set course designed for the masses. Each session felt like I was digging into learning more about myself so I could bring my best qualities out. Not only did that…

  • Highly reccommend

MI Ready was so helpful in preparing me for my postgrad medicine interviews! The lessons were tailored to the universities I was applying to and gave me great structure for my answers, especially for ethics. I really appreciated the personalised feedback and lesson reports, which helped guide my…

  • Huge improvement in just a few sessions

I came to m.i ready quite late in my preparation for my MMIs, so I only had time for a few sessions, but I was amazed at how much I improved in that short time. My tutor quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses and focused each session on…

  • Highly recommend m.i ready!

Highly recommend m.i ready!! I felt very prepared for my interview at UNDS after taking a few sessions. I began quite under confident in my skills and knowledge. But over time, the tutor helped me build my skill set, knowledge and understanding of what each question is assessing…

  • Exceptional programme

…Further than this, I was treated as an individual with considered and specialised feedback in consideration of my strengths and weaknesses. I found this to be exceptionally helpful, paired with expert advice and knowledge of what markers are looking for and how to stand apart from other applicants…

  • Best Tutoring Experience

…The dedication, guidance and thorough resources provided were immensely helpful and I would not have been able to get to level of confidence I had going into my interview without it. Highly grateful and highly recommended.

questions families ask.

Is it too late to start?

Not if you can fit in at least one session before your interview. If your interview is 3 weeks away or less, the last-minute crash course is one focused 90-minute session. With more time, a package gives you more sessions and mocks. Not sure? Book a free call and we will tell you honestly what fits.

I haven’t been invited yet. Should I start now?

Yes, if you can. Invitations can arrive with only days of notice. Essentials is a good first step: one diagnostic session and your starting priorities. Not ready to choose yet? You can try a free practice interview first.

What is the difference between a session and a mock?

A session is a one-on-one lesson with a lesson plan and a written summary. A mock is a full practice interview in your university’s format, with a written report and a private debrief. Mocks do not use up your sessions.

Can I upgrade later?

Upgrade anytime: your full Essentials fee counts towards Interview Ready or Future Doctor+, and your full Interview Ready fee counts towards Future Doctor+. You only pay the difference. How upgrades work.

Can a parent sit in? How are sessions kept safe?

Yes, a parent can sit in. Parents of students under 18 are told every session time and are welcome to join. All sessions are online. Coaches only contact students through m.i ready’s business channels, and a parent is copied into every message thread for students under 18. You get a written record after every session. Safety and under-18s.

What if I need to move a session?

Move or cancel for free with at least 24 hours’ notice. The session stays in your package. Moving sessions.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If you change your mind before your first session, we refund you in full. After that, you can end your package and we refund the part you have not used. UK customers also have a 14-day right to cancel. Your rights under consumer law always apply. Refunds.

Can you promise I will get in?

No one can. Only universities decide offers. What we give you is one-on-one practice in your university’s format and honest written feedback. More on this.
